We turn down a side street and run into someone we were just thinking about. These are all examples of intuitive knowing. As famous a scientist as Albert Einstein has said that his primary discoveries were acts not of logic but of intuition.

Most of us suppress intuition because we were taught in school not to use it. Instead, we learned to rely on what others told us, rather than to develop our inner sense. Like others, Ingrid Bacci learned as a child to suppress her extensive natural intuitive abilities, and to excel in the logical thinking rewarded by the renowned institutions of higher learning that she attended. When she was faced with a challenge of healing from crippling illness, her life path changed because the skills she had developed could no longer serve her fully. The road she took, of exploring the mind-body connection, and doing extensive bodywork, completely opened her intuitive abilities. Now she uses those abilities to help others.
